Oil Painters of America’s annual Western Regional Juried Exhibition heads to Santa Fe, New Mexico.

The Oil Painters of America will host its next Western Regional Juried Exhibition in one of the most famed art cities in the United States—Santa Fe, New Mexico. Home to more than 240 art galleries, the Land of Enchantment is the ideal locale to welcome this prestigious organization as it brims with art in all styles and genres. This year’s show, including more than 110 juried paintings by artists living in the Western region of North America, will take place at Sorrel Sky Gallery on West Palace Avenue near the Santa Fe Plaza. The neighborhood is home to some of the city’s most recognized museums that attract visitors and locals alike.Candace X. Moore, Dreamt, oil on linen, 16 x 12"

Ken Requard, Fresh Off the Tree, oil, 14 x 11"

Joan Drennan, On the Rocks, Shell Beach, oil, 24 x 24"Moore’s figurative Dreamt depicts a young woman against a backdrop of roses, while Dickens’ The Beauty Within is a close-up of a prickly pear cactus in bloom and Requard’s Fresh Off the Tree is an impressionistic piece of a fruit tree. Another artist capturing the prickly pear is Meister, whose Prickly Heat shows a wider view of the desert plant. Coleman’s El Camino is an even vaster desert landscape, highlighting the West’s signature canyons and cliffs. The focus of MacLeod’s open landscape Summer’s Drama is the billowing clouds above the trees. From Drennan is the seascape On the Rocks, Shell Beach, with waves crashing against a rocky alcove. A tonalist landscape from Delanty, titled Sunset, Open Space, shows one of the most calming hours of the day, as the sun beings to wane as evening begins.Barbara Coleman, El Camino, oil, 18 x 24"
