A glimpse of the 2018 Texas Contemporary.
The eighth edition of Texas Contemporary returns October 10 to 13 with more than 70 top dealers and galleries, both local and international, showcasing some of the most exciting modern and contemporary art available today. One of the leading art fairs in the region, Texas Contemporary brings to the Houston area’s discerning collector base galleries like Arcadia Contemporary, Art Unified, Blue Gallery, ArtStac, K. Imperial Fine Art, IMAGO Art Gallery, Steidel Contemporary and many others. Collectors can browse a wide range of styles, including contemporary realism as well as works that lean more toward the abstract.

While browsing the plethora of booths throughout the George R. Brown Convention Center, where the event is held, visitors can see works by artists like Julio Reyes, Joshua Green, Jeffrey Chong Wang, Johan Andersson, Denis Sarazhin and Michael Rich, to name a few. This year the fair will also have a section geared toward design titled Focus: Design, which engages Houston’s extensive interior design and art advisory network.
The fair will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday. An opening night preview, which benefits the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston, will take place on Thursday, October 10, from 6 to 10 p.m. —
