Returning to downtown Manhattan’s Pier 36 this September is Art on Paper, a medium-focused fine art fair that will include some of the best in paper-based artwork. The show, happening September 9 to 12, will see 90 modern and contemporary dealers from around the United States exhibit watercolors, graphite drawings, photography, mixed media and more. Usually held in March, the show was postponed until September but will continue to align with New York City’s The Armory Show.

Among the exhibitors is New York City-based Arcadia Contemporary. On display in its booth will be artwork of the international scope with drawings from American artist Annie Murphy-Robinson, Japan’s Hiroshi Hayakawa, Spanish artist Ivan Franco and drawings from Arinze Stanley of Nigeria. Sweden’s Nick Alm will be represented by watercolors.
Art on Paper is also known for its installations—both large and small—that show the versatility of works on paper. This year, Samuelle Green will create one of the main exhibition pieces. Another notable installation is a collaborative booth between longtime exhibitors Ellen Miller Gallery and Tamarind Institute. Other exhibitors include Nancy Hoffman Gallery, Beatriz Esguerra Art, Richard Levy Gallery, Daniel Cooney Fine Art and Jean Albano Gallery. —
