Curiosity and Intention

A curated selection of galleries and artists energize Aspen Art Week this summer during the Intersect Aspen Art + Design Fair.

Art and design invigorate the resort town of Aspen, Colorado, each summer with the annual Intersect Aspen Art + Design Fair. “This edition of Intersect Aspen Art + Design Fair will highlight the very best of fine art. The fair will showcase extraordinary two-dimensional works and sculptures from established and emerging artists represented by leading galleries from around the world. Globally recognized artists will be in attendance to meet collectors and discuss their work,” says Tim von Gal, CEO of Intersect Aspen Art + Design Fair.

Among the special presentations at the 2026 fair are several large-scale sculptors and multimedia artists, who will be showing new works. “[This] will attract tremendous attention and interest,” says von Gal. “For example, Paula Crown will have a special exhibition that beautifully illustrates her approach to art as a catalyst for thoughtful social consciousness. Local artist John Doyle will present some of his incredible wood-carved sculptures at the fair. We are also working on a large-scale public art sculpture installation in Aspen. This is shaping up to be the most exciting production of Intersect Aspen in its 16-year history.”

Visitors should mark their calendars for July 28 to August 1 for this year’s Intersect Aspen, held once again at the downtown Aspen Ice Garden.

“The Aspen community approaches collecting with curiosity and intention. Our goal is to create an environment where collectors can slow down, engage deeply with the work, and form lasting connections with pieces that genuinely move them,” von Gal adds. “For many collectors, the fair is as much about discovery and perspective as it is acquisition.”
