Global Presence

Dallas Art Fair attracts major contemporary art galleries for its 18th annual event.

April offers no shortage of options when it comes to events, with major contemporary art fairs popping up in New York City, San Francisco, Chicago and Texas, where the Dallas Art Fair will celebrate its 18th edition with its most ambitious show yet.

Having tripled in size since its inception, this year 90 regional and international galleries will convene in Dallas Arts District’s Fashion Industry Gallery (FIG) from April 16 through April 19 to showcase the finest contemporary artwork on the market.

“The Dallas Art Fair is committed to quality,” says fair director Kelly Cornell. “Whether you are an experienced collector or simply curious, it is an amazing way to experience a wide array of contemporary art. The Dallas Art Fair Foundation’s Acquisition Fund ensures that museum quality work coming to the fair is not only for only the Dallas Museum of Art to acquire, but also available to the patrons of the fair.”

Some of the standout exhibitors include ACA Galleries (New York), Alexander Berggruen (New York), Gerald Peters Gallery (New York and Santa Fe), Vallarino Fine Art (New York), Avery Galleries (New York and Pennsylvania), Pencil on Paper Gallery (Dallas), Luce Gallery (Turin), Erin Cluley Gallery (Dallas) and many others hailing from all over the world.

In addition to several return exhibitors expanding their booths, the Dallas Art Fair is welcoming new galleries this year including Philip Martin Gallery (Los Angeles) showing Sky Glabush; Seven Sisters (Houston) showing Daniel Rios Rodriguez; James Fuentes Gallery (New York and Los Angeles) showing John McAllister; and Carpenters Workshop Gallery (multiple locations) which specializes in functional art and design.

A robust schedule of programming, including opportunities to attend artist talks, collection visits and related events happening around the city, will serve to add another dimension to the fair experience. The 2026 show also marks the first annual Dallas ArtPrize, a $20,000 award that will honor an artist who has made significant contributions to the Dallas art community and whose impact is anticipated to last for years to come.

Collectors flock to the Dallas Art Fair to experience a world-class variety of international art.

“The Dallas Art Fair has become a vital moment each spring for collectors, artists and institutions to connect and discover what’s next in contemporary art,” continues Cornell.  “What’s particularly exciting this year is how many global galleries are expanding their presence here—recognizing the caliber, curiosity and commitment of new and established Dallas collectors. This lineup not only showcases the dynamic range of work being produced today, but it also reinforces Dallas’ momentum as a major destination for art, culture and meaningful collector relationships.” —
