Tubac Festival of the Arts | 2/5-2/9 | Tubac, AZ

A Cherished Tradition

The Tubac Festival of the Arts celebrates its 66th year serving the community and beyond with fine art and crafts.

Returning to the historic village of Tubac, Arizona, and considered a timeless celebration of art, culture and community, is Tubac Festival of the Arts. The 2025 event features 200 artists displaying various mediums of art and crafts throughout the town—along scenic roadways, in local plazas, and more than 125 art galleries, boutiques, specialty shops and restaurants.

“The result is an immersive artistic environment, making Tubac one of Arizona’s most captivating cultural destinations,” says festival director Candy Vermillion. “Since its debut in 1959, the Tubac Festival of the Artshas become a cherished tradition in the historic village of Tubac. As Southern Arizona’s longest-running art festival, it has earned its reputation as a premier cultural event, ranked among the top art festivals in the country.”

Linda Star Landon, Celebrating Spring, oil on canvas, 20 x 20"

Participating artists this year include David Harding, Jonah Ballard, Michael Clark and Maia Leisz, among many others. The featured artist is Linda Star Landon, whose floral and desert landscape piece, Celebrating Spring, is the main poster image for the 2025 festival.

“[It] perfectly captures the vibrant energy of spring in Tubac, with her bold use of color and texture that embody the season’s spirit,” says Vermillion. “With over 30 years of professional artistry, Landon has earned acclaim for her dynamic, colorful works, which have found homes across the United States and internationally—from China to Canada. Known for her captivating style, she has become a favorite among collectors. Currently, the artist’s works are on display at the Cactus Wren Gallery in Tubac, where her artistry continues to inspire and delight.”

Sculptor Krystal Obrzut displays her creations at the 2024 festival.

The art festival, running from February 5 to 9, “offers an enriching experience in a setting steeped in heritage,” Vermillion notes. “Whether you’re an art aficionado or just looking to explore, the Tubac Festival of the Arts provides a truly unique experience for all.”
