Dozens of top-tier artists gather to paint along historic Canyon Road during the Annual Spring Arts Festival.

Every year, artists gather en masse along Santa Fe’s gorgeous and historic Canyon Road for a wonderful afternoon of art demonstrations. The ninth annual Spring Arts Festival will showcase dozens of artists working in a plethora of mediums including oil painting, acrylics, pastel drawings, watercolor, ceramics, bronze and metal sculpture, woodworking, photography, collages and more, giving visitors and collectors the chance to observe them working in real time. Oil painter Frank Balaam and acrylic artist Angus work on paintings outdoors at a past event.

Among the galleries participating in the 2022 Spring Arts Festival are Barbara Meikle Fine Art, Canyon Road Contemporary, GF Contemporary, Giacobbe-Fritz Fine Art, Kay Contemporary Art, McLarry Fine Art, Meyer Gallery, New Concept Gallery, Nüart Gallery, Tierra Mar Gallery, Thornwood Gallery, Ventana Fine Art, Winterowd Fine Art and Zatara Contemporary. Ceramic artist Kari Rives holding one of her sculptures.There will be abundant opportunities for attendees to request commissions and have meaningful discussions with the artists. Individual galleries will also feature various complementary special events, art tours, artist demonstrations and more at various locations along Canyon Road. —
