Multi-disciplinary artist Do Ho Suh, who frequently moves between New York, London and Seoul, creates installations and full-size, fabric reconstructions that explore ideas of exploring notions of the concept of home, personal history, collectivity, individuality and cultural tradition. The artist recently gifted his Apartment A, Unit 2, Corridor and Staircase, 348 West 22nd Street installation to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, which replicates his ground-floor New York residence. Do Ho Suh: 348 West 22nd Street will be on view through May 16.

Photography collection gifted to NOMA
Collectors Cherye R. and James F. Pierce recently gifted more than 260 photographs to the New Orleans Museum of Art. The collection comes from a range of 19th-century to present day master art photographers, including Ansel Adams as well as Lois Conner, William Eggleston and Deborah Luster. The Pierces’ gift to NOMA is representative of their wide-ranging collecting interests, and also includes a rare large-format photogravure of Alfred Stieglitz’s Flatiron Building, among many other works.

Glass art
On view through September 5, Glasstress Boca Raton 2021 is a sequel to the widely successful 2016 Glasstress exhibition at Boca Raton and showcases more than 30 international artists. These creators have worked extensively in the medium of glass, as well as in collaboration with master glass artisans at Berengo Studio on the island of Murano in the Venetian lagoon. The 2021 show includes major new works accompanied by a fully-illustrated catalog.

Seeing Differently: The Phillips Collects for a New Century draws from modern art museum the Phillips Collection’s growing collection of nearly 6,000 works. The exhibition features more than 200 exceptionally diverse works by artists spanning the 19th century to the present, including paintings, works on paper, prints, photographs, sculptures, quilts, videos, multimedia installations and more. Extended throughout the museum, the exhibition celebrates the Phillips Collection’s centennial anniversary. —
