Through April 2019, the Currier Museum of Art, in Manchester, New Hampshire, presents the installation Hauling by Ethan Murrow. The exhibition, which came about after talks with the museum’s curator Samantha Cataldo, features a Sharpie pen drawing on a 150-foot wall, a 52-foot long scrolling drawing animated by a kinetic sculpture and two large-scale drawings. It is a reflection Manchester’s history and its people.
Murrow says, “Each of these elements has been built with an immense cast of artists collaborators, assistants and Manchester and Currier community members lending a hand. The end result will be a show that looks at tools, hand craft, manual labor and the essential act of carrying the things we make and value.”
