watercolor on aquabord
24 x 36 inches (L x W)
My paintings are an invitation to dwell in light and color, to witness the quiet, unfolding moments of nature that often slip past unnoticed. I am drawn to fragile awakenings—like almond blossoms trembling in twilight, their white petals blushing at the edges, quivering in the hush between day and night. Through watercolor and a pointillist approach, I place tiny dots of pure color like drops of light, building surfaces that shimmer, breathe, and pulse with the rhythms of life itself.
Corgi Love
watercolor on aquabord
24 x 36 inches (L x W)
This work captures a loving connection between two corgis at a farmers market. Canines bring us joy, warmth, and a sense of belonging through their presence and openness. Their beauty and gentle interactions radiate sunshine, reminding us of the simple, shared happiness animals offer in everyday moments.
Looping Lupine
watercolor on aquabord
24 x 36 inches (L x W)
As a watercolor painter, my work is to portray California native plants and giving them a voice through an emotional lens. I seek to highlight their resilience, beauty, and quiet presence, encouraging a deeper connection between the viewer and the natural world that surrounds them.
My hope is that each painting fosters awareness and education about the importance of drought-resistant native plants in California, especially in the face of a changing climate. By drawing attention to these species, I aim to inspire appreciation, conservation, and more mindful relationships with our environment.
I work on aquabord using a unique watercolor pointillism technique that I call Kaleidos. Through countless small marks, color and form emerge gradually, echoing the complexity and interconnectedness of natural ecosystems. This process allows emotion, movement, and vibrancy to coexist, inviting viewers to pause, reflect, and see native plants not just as background elements, but as living storytellers.
Poppy Bop
watercolor on aquabord
24 x 36 inches (L x W)
Inspired by the majestic beauty of glowing poppies swaying in the light wind, my watercolor on Aquabord captures their quiet radiance. In contrast to a world that can feel dark, the poppies symbolize hope—lifting the spirit, calming the soul, and nurturing the body through the restorative power of nature.
Poppy Clouds
watercolor on aquabord
18 x 24 inches (L x W)
In this piece, poppies rise boldly into the sky, their vivid blooms stretching upward as if reaching for possibility itself. The flowers burst with color and energy, unfolding against a backdrop of soft, billowing white clouds. This contrast between vibrant life and serene sky creates a scene that feels both expansive and intimate.
The work is meant to evoke a sense of joy and uplift—an invitation to pause, breathe, and feel the quiet happiness that can bloom in unexpected moments. Each poppy becomes a small celebration, a reminder of the beauty that persists and grows, even as it reaches toward the unknown.
