Russian-born representational artist Inga Poslitur is a full-time working artist and educator who currently lives in Northern California. Her early years in the United States were spent on the East Coast. Academically trained, Poslitur holds a Bachelor of Fine Art degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York (FIT-NYC) and an MFA from the University of Hartford in Connecticut. Her technical skills have been developed over her years spent as an artist, illustrator and muralist.

Drawn to the American West and inspired by Native American art and culture, Poslitur drew inspiration from her travels throughout the western United States, blending elements from different cultures in her work. These experiences have allowed her to combine intentional vision with the joy of plein air painting.

Today, Poslitur spends her time outdoors painting in plein air, in her studio or traveling and teaching art. Her paintings have been exhibited in exhibitions presented by the California Art Club, Salmagundi Club, National Arts Club, Santa Paula Art Museum, Hilbert Art Museum, Joseloff Gallery and Holton Gallery, among others.

She is an award-winning artist and member of the California Art Club, Audubon Artists and the Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club.
Poslitur will be among the featured artists in Art 2026 Tehachapi, an art exhibition and sale on November 13 and 14 in Tehachapi, California. —
