Art Market Productions will present its third edition of the Atlanta Art Fairduring the first weekend of October at the city's historic event venue, Pullman Yards. The 2026 fair will have over 70 galleries in attendance, featuring a variety of styles, themes and mediums, with work by artists at different stages of their careers.

“Atlanta Art Fair is really about creating a meeting point for the arts community of the American South,” says AMP Vice President of Fair Development Kelly Freeman. “Atlanta has an extraordinary concentration of artists, galleries, museums, universities, Fortune 500 companies and collectors, and the fair gives those communities an opportunity to come together, while connecting them with galleries and collectors from elsewhere...Now in our third year, we’re also focused on how the fair can help strengthen those relationships over time. We want people to come for the weekend, but leave having discovered an artist, gallery or organization they want to continue engaging with long after the fair closes.”
Freeman also notes that there will be true geographic range represented. “Atlanta and southern galleries remain at the heart of the fair, but this year we’re welcoming exhibitors from cities across the U.S., as well as South Korea, Poland, Spain, South Africa, Uganda and beyond. That mix creates some unexpected conversations and gives collectors an opportunity to encounter work they might not otherwise see together in one place.”

Freeman senses a lot of excitement surrounding the variety of ways galleries are approaching the fair this year. There are focused solo presentations, group exhibitions, collaborations and projects that have connections to Atlanta and the South.
“For example, Memento is presenting a solo booth of Zimbabwean artist Gabriel Tendai Choto, while Institute 193 is bringing together Cierra Evans, Dianna Settles and Lalana Fedorschak in an all-women presentation,” Freeman explains. “TILA Studios is collaborating with Atlanta BeltLine and ArtWorks Portugal on new sculptures by Charity Hamidullah and Marryam Moma that grew out of the artists’ residency in Porto. And Eckert Fine Art is debuting a new body of work by Atlanta-born Michael Kalish using vintage film reels to create portraits of classic Hollywood figures, which draws inspiration from the Atlanta-founded Turner Classic Movies.”

Special programming will also be offered, including guest curator Sarah Higgins, organizing Low Grit Grins, featuring Antonio Darden, Victoria Dugger and Tori Tinsley. “It’s a really engaging exhibition looking at the ways artists use humor, absurdity and camp to approach subjects that can actually be quite difficult,” Freeman says.
The fair is also celebrating South Arts’ 50th anniversary with a special exhibition of Southern Prize for Visual Arts state fellows from the past decade in the Atlanta Art Fairtheater. It gives visitors a chance to see artists from across the organization’s nine-state region, and really speaks to the breadth of artistic production happening across the South right now.

The Balentine Prize also returns for its second year, recognizing an emerging artist from Atlanta or the Greater American South, with the winning work acquired for Balentine’s corporate collection. Last year’s inaugural prize was awarded to Atlanta-born, Nashville-based artist, Caroline Allison.
