Scott Coulter’s journey as an artist began in the picturesque landscapes of Ontario, Canada, where he was born and nurtured by the tranquil beauty of a small village nestled in a lush valley along the Credit River, mere yards from a cascading waterfall. It was here, amidst the quiet rush of water and the gentle embrace of nature, that Coulter began to explore his creative instincts, spending countless hours fishing and absorbing the serene environment that would later fuel his prolific career.

The artist’s passion for painting landscapes has spanned more than five decades, the result of a lifelong, unwavering commitment to capturing the natural world around him. In addition to his time spent in the majestic Rocky Mountains of Alberta, he spent 22 years in the Finger Lakes region of New York, further refining his eye for capturing the subtle intricacies of nature. Today, he continues to immortalize the beauty of the natural world from his studios in both Minnesota and Sarasota, Florida.

Coulter’s awards include a gold medal at the Cooperstown National and top honors from the American Artists Professional League’s Grand National Exhibition, among others.
