Welcome to the November issue of American Art Collector! We report on every opportunity for collecting, from gallery shows to online exhibitions hosted by leading arts organizations. Sponsorship is an important aspect of supporting art shows and events. This issue happens to have several shows that we sponsor and we wanted to give them some limelight. Our partnership with the International Guild of Realism (IGOR) is our longest standing to date. We have sponsored the IGOR shows since 2004, or since the very beginning of American Art Collector. Starting on Page 66 you will find our coverage of IGOR’s Fall Salon Online Exhibition, featuring 200 representational artists from around the world. The works range from photorealism to impressionism and everything in between. It is truly amazing to experience an IGOR show, whether in person or virtually. The fall salon is already online and will be on view on the IGOR website and on American Art Collector’s website through December 20.
The Waterfowl Festival in Easton, Maryland, is another contemporary realism show that brings many top artists from around the country and Canada to show their nature and wildlife art. American Art Collector is a sponsor of the event and managing editor Sarah Gianelli will be there representing the magazine in mid-November. As always, we are so happy to have boots on the ground! The American Artists Professional League’s (AAPL) 97th Grand National Exhibition show opens November 18 in New York City at the historic Salmagundi Club. On view through December 5, it is an amazing event for collectors. And, if you can’t attend in person, you can do your collecting online.
Annually, American Art Collector sponsors more than 60 top art shows around the country. We curate our partnerships very carefully to ensure they align with our collectors' tastes and meet our standards in terms of quality.
