Jennifer Burgan is a Southern California artist who grew up with a love for the outdoors and a passion for visual arts that she inherited from her father, a professional photographer. Over the years, Burgan has worked as an interior design assistant, graphic designer, arts editor for publications, illustrator and painter. Now, as an art educator, she is passing on her knowledge and encouraging her students to explore their own creativity and artistic potential. She paints primarily in oil, both in her studio and in plein air. Her love of the outdoors is reflected in her paintings. She likes to catch the fleeting moments of spontaneity that create emotion and connection with the viewer.

Ever-honing her craft, Burgan has continued her own education by taking workshops with other well-known artists. She encourages her students and fellow artists to follow any opportunity for personal and professional growth.
Burgan is a member of California Art Club and its advisory board. Her work has appeared in exhibitions throughout Southern California since 2017. At Art 2022 Tehachapi,Burgan’s work was awarded Best Urban Painting. She is now on the advisory panel for the Tehachapi Arts Commission in Tehachapi, California.
