Held in the heart of the downtown arts district, the 17th edition of the Dallas Art Fair will welcome roughly 90 exhibitors from around the world to showcase their leading emerging and established contemporary artists.
Among the returning galleries this year are Alexander Berggruen (New York), Inman Gallery (Houston), Kerlin Gallery (Dublin), Perrotin (New York, Paris, Hong Kong, Seoul, Tokyo, Shanghai), and Josh Lilley (London). Fair director Kelly Cornell adds, “This year we have a number of first-time exhibitors joining us, including the Sunday Painter from London in a joint booth with Duarte Sequeria, Tops Gallery from Memphis, and Vielmetter Los Angeles, amongst dozens more. Our lineup this year is also incredibly international, with galleries from Hong Kong, Baku and Osaka, to Bucharest, Brussels, and Zurich, expanding our arts ecosystem to an even more global reach.”

The fair will also feature curated exhibitions and special programming intended to spark lively conversation about the contemporary art world. “Summer Wheat is doing a collaboration with Dallas-based Finley Shirts, transferring her beautiful imagery to embroidery on classic button downs,” says Cornell. “We’re also bringing in new and fresh programming and partnerships for this edition to elevate the fair experience for collectors, gallerists, artists and visitors to new heights. Think food and fashion pop-ups to large-scale artist installations, [and much more].”

“At the Dallas Art Fair, we really see ourselves as matchmakers: connecting artists, dealers and collectors with each other, often for the very first time,” says Cornell. “So, a successful fair is one in which we feel like we’ve set up some great ‘first dates!’ Our goal is to turn people from ‘curious’ into collectors and have them fall in love with art—whether directly from Dallas or Texas, or from around the world. We hope visitors leave the fair having discovered something new, and perhaps with a new work of art to start or expand their collections.” —
