Beginning Thursday, April 3, Artexpo New Yorkreturns to Pier 36 in Manhattan for four days of art presented by dealers across the globe. With more than 200 exhibitors in attendance, visitors to the curated event will be able to dive into a robust array of original paintings, drawings, sculpture, photography, lithographs and other forms of media, all under one roof in a 70,000-square-foot exhibition space.

Photo credit: Redwood Art Group.“Being back in New York, sharing the excitement of the iconic Artexpo with thousands of art lovers, and seeing the new artwork the artists and galleries are showcasing makes the fair an amazing annual event—for the 48th year!” says Linda Mariano of Redwood Art Group, which organizes the fair. The event typically draws some 15,000 art enthusiasts each year.
Throughout its four historic decades in contemporary and fine art, Artexpo New Yorkhas hosted such prominent names as Andy Warhol, Robert Rauschenberg, Keith Haring and Leroy Neiman. For the upcoming fair, exhibitors include K-Art Projects, Agora Fine Art, Mecenavie Gallery, Perseus Gallery, SAB Art Collection, Van Leeuwen Art and ADDO Gallery, among many others.

“Visitors can [also] expect a special selection of Art Labs featuring specially curated projects within the fair, including Sarah Stieber’s Integration series installation in the lobby,” Mariano adds. “They should be looking for the Spotlight Program recipients, each recognized for their achievement in visual arts. Artexpo Focus will again feature the Jason Perez Art Collective, a gathering of pop art, street art, contemporary art and outsider art that is a must-see.” In addition, Art Talks will include various panel discussions, conversations and artistic discourse with leading artists, curators, designers and art industry professionals.

An Opening Night VIP Preview takes place April 3 from 5 to 8 p.m. The event will continue from April 4 to 6 starting at 11 a.m. each day. Tickets are available in advance at $30 for general admission. —
