Art for All

Members of Art Dealers Association of America come together for a philanthropic affair.

An annual event organized by the Art Dealers Association of America, and benefitting social services organization Henry Street Settlement, The Art Showbrings together the country’s top galleries to showcase curated exhibitions of a broad mix of historical and contemporary works.

Of the 75 country-wide dealers represented at the 36th edition of The Art Show, more than half will be presenting solo exhibitions, with standout showcases of work by Chase Hall at Pace Prints, Mladen Stilinović at Peter Freeman, Billie Zangewa at Lehmann Maupin, Isabella Ducrot at Petzel, Tim Hawkinson at Hosfelt Gallery, and Suchitra Mattai at Roberts Projects.

New this year, is “Spotlight On…” which will highlight a different city each year with Houston as the focus for the inaugural edition, supported by special programming that includes a panel discussion led by prominent collectors and scholars from the area.

In partnership with AAMC Foundation, the fair will also bring together more than 50 nonprofit art curators for a symposium that will culminate in a public panel discussion about pressing issues in the sector.

The Art Show presents a dynamic display of historic and contemporary art by the country’s leading galleries accompanied by specially curated programming.

Anthony Meier, president of the Art Dealers Association of America, says, “The intimate environment created by The Art Show in the Park Avenue Armory is unparalleled, as it offers a unique platform for dealers to take risks they might not consider at other fairs: presenting solo exhibitions by less established or underknown artists and thoughtfully curated group exhibitions that shed new light on a historical moment or artistic movement. The richness of these presentations prompt prolonged observation and in-depth conversations with collectors that make The Art Show a special event in our member galleries’ programs each year.”
