New York’s premier art fair, The Armory Show—featuring more than 235 galleries across 30-plus countries—is making a major splash in the art world with its 30th anniversary edition. Now part of the Frieze network of art shows and fairs, the 2024 Armory Showwill include such prestigious galleries as Kasmin, Michael Rosenfeld Gallery, Schoelkopf Gallery, Berggruen Gallery, Miles McEnery Gallery and many others.

“We are thrilled to present this important edition of The Armory Show,” says Kristell Chadé, executive director of fairs at Frieze. “For the past 30 years, The Armory Show has been an anchor of the city’s cultural landscape, championing art at the forefront and providing galleries an opportunity to engage with New York audiences.”
As visitors explore the three-day event, they’ll notice that The Armory Show is broken up into several sections: the core section is Galleries, showcasing leading international galleries exhibiting 20th- and 21st-century artwork across a range of media; Solo highlights single-artist presentations of emerging, established and historic artists; and finally, Presents features galleries less than 10 years old showcasing recent works in solo and two-person exhibitions.

“The upcoming edition [of The Armory Show] inaugurates a floorplan that enhances the visitor experience with reimagined meeting spaces, reoriented sections, a new theater hosting conversations with art world luminaries and engaging partnership activations,” adds Christine Messineo, director of Americas at Frieze.
The Armory Show runs from September 6 to 8 with a VIP Preview Day on September 5. —
