Nashville’s LeQuire Gallery sees success in collaboration
“Sometimes opportunities arise for galleries and museums to partner. LeQuire Gallery is fortunate to have established such a relationship with Customs House Museum,” says gallery director Elizabeth Cave. “With a strong pulse on the art market, curator Terri Jordan continuously delivers exhibitions with national relevance. She also has a knack for zeroing in on quality gallery shows, offering select artists follow up exhibitions, which clearly build momentum.”  In 2021 and 2022, Jordan offered solo exhibitions for contemporary realist Juliette Aristides [whose sold work The Teapot is featured here] and contemporary impressionist Lori Putnam, following their respective exhibitions at LeQuire Gallery. “Residual from these events continues with sales into 2023,” says Cave.

Piece featured in October ad for 33 Contemporary’s online show AI & Me sells to new collector
J. Adam McGalliard’s Valkryrie was featured in an advertisement in American Art Collector to promote 33 Contemporary’s online group show AI & Me. The exhibition, which features concepts initially created with the use of apps, artificial intelligence and other programs that were then translated into traditional mediums such as paint, drawings or sculpture, will be viewable on Artsy through December 31 at www.artsy.net/show/33-contemporary-ai-and-me. The collector saw the piece in the ad and bought it outright.  —
