Redwood Art Group returns with the 15th annual Art San Diego.

When the 15th annual Art San Diego returns to the San Diego Convention Center from November 3 through 5, the city’s unique expressions of creativity will be on full display. As the region’s longest running art and design fair, the three-day event has grown to include more than 75 exhibitors and 500-plus leading artists from the U.S. and abroad. It is estimated to attract 5,000 visitors over the course of the weekend.

Living up to its tagline as “an art experience,” the show incorporates dynamic programming that includes curated exhibitions and collector-focused events designed to showcase the thriving art and design landscape of San Diego and beyond.

Visitors to Art San Diego browse the wide range of mediums on display at the 2022 event.

Among the special programming is Art Labs, which feature unique, curated projects by leading galleries and artists, art institutions and art collectives within the fair. San Diego’s award winning artist and designer Sarah Stieber will be presenting a special Stieber Spaces exhibit, an interactive art experience for all ages. Also on display will be sister + sister: The Butterfly Effect, an experiential exhibit conceived by sister artists Kate Taylor and Helen Utsal.

Other special programming includes the Spotlight Program, which highlights several cutting edge galleries and stand-out artists; the Discoveries Collection, which showcases a selection of the best works under $3,000; the [LOCAL TALENT] Program, which celebrates some of the best artists and designers working in the city; and the San Diego Art Prize, a cash award for established and emerging San Diego artists.

Through the Access to Art program, Art San Diego works with selected charities to share and promote opportunities in art, design, business development and more. This year’s non-profit community partners are Monarch School, Humble Design and Arts District Liberty Station. Attendees will be able to enjoy special installations from each organization, purchase artwork created for the Access to Art program and learn more about the contributions each nonprofit makes through supporting the arts to the San Diego community.

“We are thrilled to be celebrating 15 years of Art San Diego, the only marketplace where artists, art publishers, galleries and dealers all come together,” says Linda Mariano, managing director of marketing for Redwood Art Group. “Art San Diego is such a special experience because it brings together the local art community alongside national and international artists, creating a space where art lovers can enjoy the discovery of new work and engaging art events.”

The event opens with First Look Friday from 12 to 5 p.m., followed by a Collectors’ VIP opening from 6 to 9 p.m. Weekend fair hours are Saturday, November 4 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. —
