Allied Artists of America’s 100th Juried Exhibition | 9/10-10/8 | Youngstown, OH

Living Legacy

The Butler Institue hosts Allied Artists of America's 110th Annual Juried Exhibition.

Allied Artists of America (AAA) was founded in New York City in 1914 to further the cause of contemporary American artists through multiple platforms. Comprised of artists, sculptors and members from the across the country, the organization achieves its goals through demonstrations, lectures, newsletter, relevant cultural activities and, perhaps most importantly, its annual exhibitions.

This year the organization will hold its 110th juried exhibition at the Butler Institute of American Art in Youngstown, Ohio, from September 10 to October 8. The exhibition will feature 125 works by member and non-member artists curated by the Butler.

“The Butler Institute of America has a common mission,” explains AAA president Gabriela Dellosso. “Like Allied Artists, the Butler was founded to promote American art, so we find that showing work in this wonderful museum, is a [perfect] partnership.”

Works span countless subject matter and mediums, including sculpture. One of the unique aspects of AAA exhibitions is that they accept both representational and abstract pieces.

“Allied is thrilled to have our annual exhibition hosted by the historic Butler Institute of American Art. It is an important museum to be able offer such a prestigious exhibition space to our exhibiting artists,” adds Dellosso “It’s incredibly important and meaningful to the careers of our participants. Congratulations to all who made it in.” —
