Seattle Art Fair | 7/27-7/30 | Seattle, WA

A Contemporary Collaboration

The Seattle Art Fair partners with regional arts organizations to curate an immersive weekend of compelling art and programming.

The cities in the Pacific Northwest are among the most progressive and creative in the nation, and with its abundance of art and cultural offerings, events have to stand out above the rest. The Seattle Art Fair, returning to the Lumen Field Event Center from July 27 through July 30, has done just that.

In addition to the impressive contemporary art presented by the region’s top galleries, the fair has partnered with dozens of area arts organizations and institutions to create a rich, multilayered event that celebrates the vibrant arts community and culture of the Pacific Northwest to the maximum degree.

Curated by artistic director Nato Thompson—known for his previous work  with Philadelphia Contemporary, Creative Time and MASS MoCA—Seattle Art Fair’s public projects program will speak to the depth and many facets of creativity that inspire and define the Seattle arts community.

The Public Projects program includes special installations, thoughtful lectures, book signings, artist talks and compelling discussions about issues at play in today's art market. Last year’s program covered topics like the future of storytelling, managing collections with today’s technology and current trends in the industry.

“Working alongside beneficiary partner Seattle Art Museum, Thompson, and the fair’s dedicated host committee, the Seattle Art Fair, founded by the late Paul G. Allen, is a celebrated and productive week bringing together the region’s strong collector base, the Pacific Northwest’s top museums and institutions, and an array of innovative public programming,” states the press release.

The fair opens with a preview party on Thursday, July 27 from 6 to 9 p.m. Public fair hours begin at 11 a.m., Friday. —
