The first Canyon Road Fireside Chat Artist Series is an intimate evening of fine art being held December 3 from 4 to 7 p.m. in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Six galleries will participate in the event, marking the coming winter solstice and holiday season, and along with the fine art on display will have bonfires and farolitos for visitors to gather around. There will be several artists in attendance at each stop, and during the event they will discuss their artwork and careers. The participating dealers are primarily located along the mid-section of Canyon Road, making this a fun and walkable event.
Winterowd Fine Art will participate in the first Canyon Road Fireside Chat Artist Series.
Canyon Road Contemporary Art will feature the work of Ed Sandoval, a Taos, New Mexico-based impressionist landscape painter who has been honored as an individual artist in the New Mexico Governor’s Awards for Excellence in the Arts. At sister galleries Giacobbe-Fritz Fine Art and GF Contemporary Art, visitors can see works by some of their standout artists including Rebecca Haines and Kathleen McCloud.

“Canyon Road has long been a premier destination not only for its concentration of art galleries (about 80 at last count), but also for its beauty and history. The district is beautifully preserved with adobe buildings and walls, old-growth trees and historic landmarks as it winds itself up the canyon to the Sangre de Cristo mountains,” says Nancy Ouimet, owner of Canyon Road Contemporary Art. “The Canyon Road Fireside Chat Artist Series brings together art, history, beauty and the unmatched beauty of the Sangres in winter for three lovely hours.” —
