Since the very beginning, American Art Collector has been lucky enough to share with our readers some of the finest art collections around the country. We’ve had some heavy hitters featured in these pages—including Cheech Marin, Howard A. and Judith Tullman, and the realist collection of Steven Bennett and Dr. Elaine Melotti Schmidt—as well as hidden gems that captivated with their diversity in artwork as well as an eye for detail. It’s always exciting when we see the photographs from Francis Smith of the collectors’ homes and we stumble across artwork that has been featured in the magazine, purchased at galleries that we work with or even brand-new works that have been commissioned. With the pandemic, we’ve had to pause many of our photoshoots for a later date, so take the time to look back on just a few of the beautiful homes that have been featured in our magazine.
