Spanish artist Salvador Dalí is perhaps one of the most widely recognized surrealists in the world, but he has a diverse oeuvre that contains a multitude of styles and mediums. January 24 and 25, Cutter & Cutter Fine Art in St. Augustine, Florida, will present one of the largest groupings of Dalí’s artwork to collectors.

The Argillet Collection—from the archives of Jean Christophe Argillet, whose father Pierre Argillet was the famed artist’s publisher and longtime collaborator—includes museum-caliber original drawings, hand-woven Aubusson tapestries, original copperplate etchings and rare books. Pierre and Dalí had a more than 50-year friendship that, according to the gallery, “cultivated what many consider to be one of the finest bodies of Dalí’s art.”

During the opening weekend, the younger Argillet will join the gallery in offering these materials. “This collection was facilitated by our good friend, Greg Bloch, who has been immersed in the art of Dalí for over 40 years and has established relationships with the Argillet family,” the gallery shares. “The artwork is of the highest quality, rarity and condition. It is heavily vetted and properly documented.”
